Accelerates small cell deployment in Saudi Arabia and adds Dallah to more than 345 existing Qualcomm licensees globally

SAN DIEGO and JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA – August 26, 2019 – Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) and the Saudi Arabian company, Dallah Trans Arabia Limited Liability Company (“Dallah”, DTA), today announced they have entered into a patent licensing agreement which covers multimode small cells. Under the terms of the agreement, Qualcomm has granted Dallah a royalty-bearing patent license to develop, manufacture and sell multimode small cells utilizing 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. The royalties payable by Dallah are consistent with the terms of Qualcomm’s branded multimode licensing framework disclosed in 2017.

Dallah Trans Arabia Limited Liability Company is owned by Dallah Al-Baraka Group, a private multinational corporation based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dallah Group has holdings throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe, with investments including the financial, banking, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, transportation, and operations and maintenance sectors.

With this agreement, joins the growing list of OEMs around the world to have direct access to Qualcomm’s breakthrough technologies. Dallah will have access to Qualcomm’s broad patent portfolio for the development of complete multimode small cells.
